Pizza Party--January 2005

A Pizza (and Tequila) Night at 1999 Comm Ave.

The cold winter night began with a feast prepared by Liesel. Delicious homemade pizza flourished and filled our bellys.

I attempt to keep the chef entertained

...The boys on the other hand find their own way of entertaining themselves...by drinking bottles and bottles of tequila.

New Years Eve and Aftermath-January 1, 2005

NEW YEARS 2005
New York, NY

I know how to get the holiday started. All you need is an ice cold 40oz of malt liquor.

For Christmas, I gave Steve an outdoor open firepit for his backyard. Here Steve and I are attempting to light a fire to keep us warm while we drink our 40's. We get the fire started and life is good....or so we thought....Long story short. The NYFD comes rolling down 93rd, we hear the sirens and think nothing of it (well Drew and Maria were smart and knew they were coming because of us) and within minutes the NYFD surrounds the yard and the apartment trying to find the "fire"...oops. I guess we violated a New York fire code. No open fire pits in the middle of Manhattan.

After the fiasco at 306 E93rd, casa de Steve, we headed down to

Maria's apartment for a dinner and drinks preparty.

Post preparty, all feeling good from the redbull/beer combos we drank,
we rolled up to Dave & Sarah's party in style. Oh yeah baby, in a limo.

JT 2 and JT 3.

Awww. Steve and Jaren.

Jess and Finn are bonding...I think Jessamyn is reaching her limit here.

It was about 10 minutes to midnight and we tried to run to Times Square to see the ball drop. In our drunken state and lack of punctuality, we only made it to Columbus Circle. At least we were able to see some fireworks go off in Central Park. Happy 2005!

It is clearly past midnight...it is now 2005! Erin, Steve, JT and I decide it is a good idea to go out for one more drink at DOC's, the local bar...

For more Pictures of the evening, see HERE

All I have to say is Doc's was a bad idea. At this point, who remembers what time it is and Steve, Jess and I are expected to wake up around 8am TODAY to go have lunch with Ruth and Ron (Steve's Aunt and Uncle). Let me remind you, Jess and I are surviving on 1) no sleep 2) jet lag--me coming from HI and JT from WA......oy.

Well, one would think we all learned our lesson the night before and pledge to our New Year's Resolutions of not drinking so much (ok, so none of us really made New Years resolutions), but we didn't. After napping for hours at Ruth and Rons and eating a delicious meal, we working our way back into the city and found ourselves at Brother Jimmy's.

Chris (?!?!)

Drew and Maria...I think Maria is a little drunk here. Or...

..is Maria feeling bad about throwing BBQ sauce all over Chris, the pitcher of beer, and the table?

I think Steve and I are trying to figure out what's going on....

All I can say is this "fishbowl" was it for everyone. After 2 rough nights of partying...oh, boy. It was definitely a great way to ring in the New Year!
