Steve and Drew's Free Beer Birthday Bash
Pat O'Briens Pub
October 1, 2005
A few months ago Steve and I went to Pat O'Briens to watch a Red Sox game. Behind the bar, Steve saw a fishbowl with a sign on it saying, "put your business card in here to win a free keg of beer". Steve didn't have one of his business cards, but I did. I put it in the fishbowl and voila! Steve won the free keg of beer. Since he won around his and Drew's birthday, he decided to throw a free beer drinking birthday bash!
Let me recap the afternoon before the evening. Steve cooked up a delicious brunch for Drew, Maria, Chris, Claudia, Mikey and myself while watching the Red Sox-Yankees game. He used his new jumbo-sized griddle to sizzle up some beacon, pancakes, home-fries and eggs. In addition to the meal were mamosas and bloodly marys.
Post-brunch several of the previously -mentioned went to the Big Easy to play some beer pong until the free beer fest.
Going from Delizia's (post-Big Easy) to Pat O'Briens, Drew met a friend.
Here's Drew and his buddy Jacob. I guess he was telling Jacob to make sure his homework gets done before he goes to sports practice.
Don't worry Chris, no one is watching....
Yes, we finally made it to the pub to continue the festivities. As a token of his appreciation, Drew gave the pumpkin to the bar tender at Pat O'Briens.
"Happy birthday day to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday Drew and Steve....
Happy birthday to you!!!!"
...."and many more, on channel 4. And scooby-doo on channel 2..."
They've known each other longer than they haven't. (Damn that's a long time...you two are getting OLD)
Olivier and Mikey sitting at the bar getting their drink on!
They have their serious faces on...I don't dare disrupt them.
Steve and Scott. I hate having people pose for pictures. But, Scott insisted. On purpose, I captured a "not-so-good-looking" photo of them both. 1, 2, 3...say "cheese".
It was us vs. people from Jersey (that would be my guess)
Scott et al. I gave the ok to pose for this picture. Scott--lookin' good.
Olivier in the window seat. (He looks like he's sitting on stage.) Drew and Maria.
B&T?!?!?!
Maria, are you threatening Wynne? Dude, he has a 1' height advantage over you...(don't worry I know how you feel--being short and all)
Jaren and Steve. Up close and personal.
And here the camera caught Olivier dancing.
Don't worry Liesel, no one else saw. This is just for the camera.

Post-Pat O'Briens, it was necessary to get another slice.
To Delizia's once again!
Then, it was time to crash.
A special thanks to me for putting Steve's business card in the fishbowl and to Drew and Steve for having reason to celebrate!
