As many of you know, upon returning to Geneva we moved into a new apartment, just a few blocks from the last one (Indian smells are a gone but not forgotten).
A quick tour, although if we'd known you'd be stopping by, we probably would have picked up a bit first (thanks for calling ahead...sheesh).
Here is our foyer. Quick point while we're here - you see the three pink hearts on the far wall? Yeah, those have pictures of Hello Kitty in them. This place was clearly decorated by a young Asian girl as everything is bright colors and somewhat bulbous, semi-futuristic rounded shapes.
Kitchen:
Bedroom-ish. Yes, it is a studio, however our predecessors put up this LOVELY and totally practical fringe to give the room separation. For as much as we mock it, though, we will not be taking it down -- it really does create some nice separation.
Living room area:
And here is the most magnificent part, the floor to ceiling windows with a beautiful view of the lake, Jet d'Eau and Mont Blanc. Seriously, the rest of this place could be a dumpster behind a Jack in the Box and this view would make it worth it.
The view at various points during the day:
At Night, Jet d'Eau illuminated:
Here are the immediate neighbors - Sam Lor Sushi and Al Manzal Moroccan:
Bottom line, we love it. Plenty of space, biggest kitchen either of us have has since our parents houses, tons of light and fresh air -- it really does feel like home.
Now if I could just figure out how to use the washing machine with the directions all in Chinese...

Yeah right, I know those three Hello Kitty hearts are really Steve's. Mabrouk!
That is an amazing view! More than makes up for Hello Kitty ;)
J, if you'd been in my immigration class, you'd know about my anti hello kitty obsession. Steve, you may remember, given you were often awake and speaking.
