Bienvenue a Benin! July 20, 2007

A view of our compound from the car as we leave for town. It's lush and sandy.

And this is our petite chambre for now. Basically what we have are 2 twin beds with mosquito nets above, a bathroom with a sink, a shower (sans curtain) and a toilet (sans seat). Also, we don't have a light in the bathroom so we have to keep the door open so we expose everything that's going on in the bathrooom to one another. Ah, the joys of married life!

Here is the view from the top of the Peace Corps offices -- a pretty good representation of what we've seen so far.

More to come soon...

Hey there you two! Glad to hear you got there safely. Oh your pictures of Benin...remind me so much of last summer. Best of luck (& always take care)!

Hi! It seems like Benin is just as Togo: houses without roof and light, open bathroom, beds with mosquito net, etc... I'm sure you will enjoy it anyway.
I'm waiting for new posts "at your earliest convenience" ;-)
