Honolulu, Hawaii-December 17-22, 2005

Steve and I arrived in Honolulu after 13 hours of flying time. After walking off the plane and feeling the cool tropical breeze, we realized it was well worth the flight.

Jobe and Renee picked us up and took us to chez Tichy.
After a quick tour of the condo, we walked across the street to the Aloha Towers to one of the bars and listened to a great coverband and sipped on local brewskies!

Sunday morning rolled around and the Tichy's took us on a tour of the island. We headed to the North Shore. Along the way we passed by the Dole Pineapple Plantation as well as the location of where "LOST" is filmed.

The wave conditions were, well, take a look for yourself:

This the famous "North Shore" where all the surfers show off. As you can see, the waves would have beat the crap out of anyone...

I belive this is sunset beach.

And another beach along the shore. The waves were amazing.

After a tour of the North, we headed to Kailua beach, just beyond the Tichy's old stomping ground of Kaneohoe. There we went for a quick dip in the Pacific since the sun was setting the water was a bit chilly.

Monday, Steve and I hit up the famous "Waikiki Beach". We layed out under the sun and swam in the ocean. In the background is Diamond Head.

Tuesday, Steve and I took up surfing before heading over to Maui. Yup. The two of us surfed all morning. It was heavenly. It was easy for us to get up since we used the longboards. Definitely try surfing. I give it 2 enthusiastic thumbs up!

Just before heading back to chez Tichy, we had to make a quick stop in the infamous, Local Motion, where the cast of Real World Hawaii worked.
