The annual UN Affairs holiday party took place Thursday evening in the Maruice Pate Conference Room on the 13th floor of UNICEF House. The entire day was a waste due to the discussion and preparation of the festivities. Wilma, Angela, Kirsi, Deirdre, and Francoise did most of the work and I helped as best I could. Everyone in the department contributed. Ado purchased 2 cases of wine, Kirsi made the Glogg, Deirdre made cookies, Angela bought the shrip trays, Diane bought the cold cuts and cheese...I could go on and on with how much food and beverages there were. We had a descent turn out. Even Ann M. Venneman stopped by and mingled with our department and others. The Deputy Executive Directors stopped by as well. The highlights of the evening were 1) Kirsi's Glogg and the two "Bouche du Noel" cakes Christine bought. Within a matter of minutes they were both gone. Can you see why? The "Bouche du Noel" is a Christmas Yule Log.
Happy Holidays!
